Mostly good, minor issue

I recently used BILL for international payments. The process itself was fairly intuitive and the payment did go through successfully. However, it took about 5 days to reach the vendor in Europe, which was a bit longer than I expected given the claims of efficiency. The financial reporting is quite robust, though, and the fraud protection gives peace of mind. Overall, a solid service, but perhaps a bit slower on international transfers than ideal.

Great value with the trial

I signed up for the 30-day free trial to test out their Accounts Payable automation. It really showed its value even in that short period. The automated invoicing saved us a lot of manual work. It felt like a really good deal to try it out without commitment, and it definitely proved to be worth the eventual subscription cost.

Reliable AP automation

I've been using BILL for our accounts payable for a few years now. This latest month was just as smooth as the others. Payments went out on time, and the QuickBooks sync worked perfectly, as usual. It's why I keep coming back.

Good for managing expenses

Used BILL for expense management for the first time. It was pretty straightforward to set up. I liked how it tracked everything, and the mobile app payments worked fine. It felt like a solid tool for what we needed, nothing complicated.

Thinking of switching our AP to Bill, how long does it usually take for payments to actually go through for vendors?

N Neil 3 months ago
From what I remember, ACH payments are usually 2-3 business days. Wires can be faster, like same day if you pay for it, but definitely check their exact processing times on the site.

yeah, most of my ACHs clear in 3 days. sometimes 4 if there's a weekend. international wires take longer tho, fyi.

hey, trying to decide between bill and melio for our small business. anyone used both and have a preference for AP automation?

K Kate 2 months ago
I used Melio briefly before switching to Bill. Bill's integration with QuickBooks was way smoother for us, and I found their expense management tools more robust. Melio was fine for basic stuff but Bill felt more scalable.

melio is simpler but bill has more features. depends what you need. if you're growing, bill probably makes more sense in the long run for spend control and stuff.
